2008/2009 Season.
"... again a year of upsets for the TAK. We were pipped at the post for the new play off games for the finals. Losing some unnecessary games during the year cost us dearly." That is what Steve wrote about the 2007/8 season, and how true it is again of this season. KaiTak ended in 9th place on 86 points - just 6 more points would have placed us 4th!! The loss against the KCC Tartars by 12 runs would haunt us - having bowled 22 wides in that game!! Looking forward, if we can control the wide balls, the Kai Tak will be a force to be reckoned with. New talent Al Williams shows huge promise for the future, along with the young and keen Mitch Boss, Darren Fryer and Dwight Johnson. Dwight proving to be an exceptional keeper - a luxury the Tak has lacked for a while now. Steve Campbell deservedly won Player of the Year scoring 352 runs at an average of 44. Mitch Boss was easily the leading wicket taker with 13 wickets at an economy of 4.32 and average of 18.
