2006/2007 Season Voting
Please have a good think about your votes, trophies will be awarded on the night!!!
1. "TEFLON" award:
Brad Haskett. Last years winner but one cant forget his memorable late appearance against LSW, missing out on valuable catching practice, only to drop an absolute DOLLY to a guy who went on to make 60 odd!!!
HP "The sauceman" Odendulapolifunaaaal. Sorry HP but your name came up for the memorable couple of dropped chances Vs Nomads, especially the guy who belted our beloved Morley for 31 off the last!!!
Scott Parker. Sorry Scotty but your name popped up. There were a few indiscretions before you redeemed yourself Vs LSW!!
Rick Symington. Since you dobbed in Brad, Rick, you were remembered for the same game and the spinning on the same spot effort like a ballerina, but lovely comment after from Brad, "at least i got a hand on mine!!"
2. "Throwing of the TOYS" or spitting the dummy award:
Nick Hawke. For Nicks' constant barrage of abuse during the season to umpires and their less than shitty umpiring decisions!!
Steve Campbell. After being caught for not much on the boundary on the 2nd over Vs LSW, Steve's helmet and bat went further than the ball he just hit!!!
Tiku Patidar. As Captain you are bound to get a few votes but i put this one in for his counselling session that was needed after the game Vs Nomads, i was there at Stauntons and all i can recall is "But why Steve, Whyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!"
Chris Williams. Canceling his game with the TAK so as he could attend his photo shoot on the Sunday, he had received many a death threat from a certain skipper but it wasnt long before he cried foul, demanding recompense for services rendered in the past!!
3. Rookie of the year award. (Sorry no trophy, new category)
Darren Farr. Ended up proving usefull with the bat as well as the ball!!
HP Odendaal. Quieter at the end of the season but some great figures at the start!
Scott Parker. The pace!!! Lets not forget the car!!!
Dirk Groebler. Nowhere to be seen at the end of the season but proved very useful with the leggies, had the Butt baffled!!!
4. PLAYER OF THE YEAR!! Not just the stats but the presence on the field.
Dave Belcastro. Always a contender, a great TAK player, bowling, catching and fielding, oh yeah and not bad with the bat either!!
Brett Morley. A batting average of nearly 41 for his 245 runs and 20 wickets at 15.50, not a bad year!!
Malcom Brown. The ever present keeper with a batting average of 47.67 for his 286 runs!!!
Tiku Patidar. 375 runs at 34 and a handy 10 wickets at 22, all in a days work for el Capitano!!
Steve Campbell. 300 runs at 37, did bugger all else but last season was a shocker, so is good for my ego!!
