Kai Tak Vs Gap Ramblers, HKCC.

Campbell away, another toss lost. The Tak were sent out to field against the HKCC Gap Ramblers on a beautiful sunny day. Hopes were high for a return to form, sadly though that didn't eventuate.

Another sloppy performance in the field coupled with some superb batting from Tennis Pro Mark Kratzmann( 127no), gave the Ramblers a massive 289 for 2, a wicket each for Patidar and Belcastro.

Now we could have just rolled over and been 150 all out, but the Tak fought right to the end ending up 36 runs short on 253 for 6, a very commendable effort. Morley 30, Naqvi 28, Patidar 80, Parker 45, were the pick of the scores.

Sorry this is not up to the usual report standard, there just isn't more I can add. No need to make a big deal of this, pick up and move on. After Morley had bowled the final over I called over the team to have a quick chat about chasing the target, Morls clearly ropable at the time had had enough " let's stop f##king talking about it and bat!!".
I'll echo that with 'let's go out next Saturday and have some fun against the number one side in the league, don't think too much about it, if we play good cricket like we know the Tak can, who knows what might transpire?. No more chats!

On a brighter note our own Andy Bester took park in the Standard Chartered Marathon yesterday. It was his 21st marathon in which he completed the full distance of 42km in 4 hours and 54 minutes. Well done Andy!!!

Have a good week.
