Mon 19th Kai Tak Vs Lamma, PKVR.

Tiks has asked me to give a bit of a match report as seen from the eye in the sky. Undercover agent if you like. I think he wanted me to do it as he is worried about any influence on his command course. I suppose he thinks S/O’s can take flack easier than he can right now.

It was a well contested match with Lamma but sadly we came off second best. I think at the end of the day extras and catches play the biggest part in determining the outcome of a one day game.

At the end of the match the team sat around on the field chatting, replenishing lost fluids and having a bite to eat. It was the only time in the day any of us felt cool as I have to say it’s the hottest I’ve been in my life. Adam ‘junior’ managed to give a few of the boys some tips on stretching after Mohsin was seen doing something between a back extension and a push up. Some people thought Mohsin was so tired he just couldn’t do a push up or that he might be trying a new praying technique.

Well after changing and doing some tidying up at PKVR2 some of the usual die hards descended on our sponsor’s watering hole for an after game refresher. CRW and Evo were in such a hurry to get back to central for another commanders drinking reunion that CRW left most of his cosmetics (make up) and half his kit at the ground, as usual a trusty S/O tidied up after the captain. Some things might never change in this airline. Fortunately for me Duncan was on reserve and couldn’t make it to Stauntons otherwise it might have been an expensive night having run him out. Oh well I guess I’ll never get a sector and always have the worst rest when I fly with Duncs. Everything comes at a price!!!

Stauntons would have been quite social but sadly some players decided that tall blond Swiss women were more important that discussing our loss or at least having a drink with their team mates. Evo did eventually make it back to the fold after a long absence. A few seconds after his return his phone rang and Evo was heard saying and I quote, ‘No no I’m just standing here having a drink with the boys’. Evo bud tall blond women are not boys and sadly for us not players for the Tak.

Well we all had a good time at Stauntons as usual the beers flowed, a left arm bowler chased everything and anything in site, cricket and flying were the only things to be spoken about and the KaiTak’s name was kept alive with our sponsors. Fortunately our bill was not framed as it is hard to compete with the 14000 dollar captain.

I hope all enjoyed the day even if it was a sad occasion. We played our best but it wasn’t meant to be. There’s still a long season ahead so many wins can follow. As someone mentioned before let’s not just remember Chris at one game but dedicate the season to his memory.

Tiks, it only leaves me to say all the best for your command course, thank you for all your efforts and great leadership and we hope to see a little bit more of your talents before you leave. Guys’ lets now get behind Dave and win as much as we can, if not everything this season.

GO THE TAK!!!
